There are a few economic releases of note in the holiday-shortened bond market trading week. The August Job Openings and Labor Market Turnover Survey (JOLTS) data are released on Wednesday morning and are followed in the afternoon by the minutes of the September 20-21 FOMC meeting. Friday brings the always important retail sales report along with the producer price index (PPI), business inventories and consumer sentiment. Fed Chair Yellen also speaks at the Boston Fed’s annual economic policy conference on Friday.
